The\u00a0Association des Concerts de Musique Ancienne<\/em>\u00a0<\/strong>(ACMA) was born forty years ago, shortly after the creation of the Geneva Early Music Center.<\/p>\n At that time, the renewed interest for instruments of Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque periods was growing significantly and contributed to bring to light little-known repertoires, expand the range of existing instruments and develop new sonorities through instrument making based on historical sources.<\/p>\n Since, the ACMA hasn\u2019t stopped promoting early music in Geneva, mainly focusing its activities on organizing concerts. Today, there are three concert seasons: the festivals\u00a0Luths et Th\u00e9orbes<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Soirs d\u2019Automne<\/em>, that alternate biennially and Les Dimanches de l\u2019ACMA<\/em>, which occurs every year.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The many concerts organized over the past years have provided a showcase in Geneva for musicians from all over the world, but also to those who work, teach or study in this city, allowing them to express themselves in a creative, open and public environment such as a concert performance, sharing thus their passion for the instruments and the repertoires of past centuries.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Would you like to join and support the association?<\/p>\n\n
